About Us

Tensor Financial Planning is a trading style of Apex Mortgage Advice Limited, which was founded in 2012 to provide impartial, whole of market, mortgage advice to clients in Edinburgh.

The company has evolved to become an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA) firm offering holistic financial advice. We have also expanded the area we operate in, providing face-to-face appointments to clients in the Lothians, Edinburgh, Glasgow and the M8 corridor. In addition, we offer advice to clients throughout the UK via telephone/video calls.

ESG Responsibility

As part of our Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) responsibility, we have supported BRAC since 2017, they are a charity who act as a catalyst, creating opportunities for people living in poverty to realise their potential.

Furthermore, we aim to plant 2,500 trees by the end of 2024, track our progress: Ecologi.

How we do it

We operate a six-step financial planning process.

1. Initial Consultation

We provide this at our cost. It gives us an opportunity to get to know each other and establish our client-planner relationship

2. Factfind

We will gather information, agree goals, objectives and your priorities.

3. Research

We will analyse and process your information to find the best solution for your needs.

4. Report

Produce a written Financial Plan with recommendations on how to meet your stated goals and objectives.

5. Getting it done

With your instruction, we will implement the Financial Plan.

6. Review

We will review the progress and modify the plan, as necessary to take account of changing circumstances, to ensure it remains on track.
